Crystal Effects

Quick Trick:  Add a drop or two of Classic Ink refill, and you'll have a high gloss coloured finish. Also works great as an adhesive to attach buttons or other heavier embellishments.  Recap after each use to prevent the tip from drying and clogging.  Allow approximately one hour drying time.

Anywhere Glue Stick

Glue Dots:

Quick Tip:  The best way to place Glue Dots is to press your project against the glue dot roll, you don't even need to touch the dot, Press the paper or object onto the dot and pull away, the dot will adhere to the object, don't try to pull the dot off the liner paper with your fingers or it will stick to you and not the paper!

Multipurpose Liquid Glue

FYI:  Multipurpose Liquid Glue is Temporary or Permanent.  To use it a s a temporary adhesive, allow it to dry before adhering. Permanent adhesive, adhere it when wet

Sticky Strip

FYI:  Cut sticky strip to desired length and lay it down onto your project.  Remove red liner and your project is ready to be assembled

2-Way Glue Pen  


Features & Benefits:  Permanent or temporary bond;  Dries quickly; Great for adhering glitter; Blue when wet, clear when dry; Chisel tip; Washes off skin with soap and water; Acid free


Quick Trick:  Need a temporay bond for a stencil or mask?  Or a permanent bond for a card of page?  Wet Bond (permanent bond) While the glue is still blue and wet, immediately make the bond; use a wet bond when you apply glitter
Dry Bond (temporary) Apply glue lightly and wait for the adhesive to dry (it will become clear) Use this method when masking  or creating a gummy re-sealable edge when making your own designer envelopes


FYI:  To start the 2-way Glue Pen, push the tip in a few times and allow the glue to saturate the tip (tip will turn blue when ready) Always replace the lid after each use so it will not dry out.


Adhesive Remover  

Features & Benefits:  Removes adhesive residue (but not tape) from unwanted areas .. NO MORE MESSY GLUE left behind to damage you work or art  Works just like an eraser and removes glue like magic!

FYI:  If the surface of the eraser becomes gummy, just slice off the layer and the eraser is like brand new!  The Adhesive remover works best with Snail

A Little Bit Country!

With Father's Day fast approaching I decided to add a little bit of country to this card.  Making masculine cards is usually the most difficult.  I chose this stamp set because what guy doesn't love his truck!

I used Cheery Cobbler CS for the card base, Stamped image from the "Countryside" stamp set on Confetti White CS and mounted on Crumb Cake CS. Side tag using the Decorative Label Punch and stamped the greeting "Happy Fathers Day" from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set in Cherry Cobbler Classic Ink and punched it out with the Word Window Punch.  Image was coloured in using the best product ever! Stampin' Up! Watercolour Wonder Crayons from the Brights Collection, and Neutrals Collection using the Aqua paint brush.  I then stamped the rolling apple image for the Countryside stamp set and punched it out using the new Postage Punch from the New Summer Mini catalogue, then added a bit of gross grain ribbon behind the front of the card.

Card dimensions are 5" x 5"

Candy Bag in a box Wedding Favours!

Oh so sweet and Pretty in Pink!

As promised here are the pictures of the candy table from the wedding I attended yesterday!

I used Soft pink polk-a-dot, Melon Mambo, Whisper White CS.  Whisper White Satin Ribbon,  the word "Love" stamped in Versa mark and embossed in Basic Black, large oval punch for the tags.

This was my first wedding ... and as you can see there was a whole lot of bags!  160 in all

The candy bar was a huge success and enjoyed by all ... hats off to the bride for such a great and fun idea

Simple Directions on how to make a bag in a box:

1 piece of DSP or CS 4"x 9"

1 piece of CS 3" X 3" Score all 4 sides 1",  fold on all score lines, cut slits on all 4 sides up to score line, apply adhesive on all 4 tabs and adhere to form your box which will be your base

apply adhesive down one side of the 4" and along the bottom of the 9" side lay flat and take the box and roll it along the 4 x 9 DSP and it will form the bag 

1 piece of 1" x 9" use a scallop border stamp a sentiment and adhere to the bag at the bottom

Punch out 2 large ovals fold in half and punch a small hole for the ribbon to go through and attach to the bag one on each side

1 piece of Whisper White ribbon 8"

Add a tag or sentiment with Curly Label Extra large Punch and a small bow

Mini Album "Wedding Gift Card"

Mini Album for a Wedding

I recently attended a beautiful destination wedding for friends of ours in Punta Cana Dominican.  Their reception is this weekend so I decided to put together a mini album and combine it as a gift card.  I used all of the colours from their wedding as well as the beautiful colours that inspired me while I was there!  The beautiful greens in the garden, the blues from the ocean, the different tones in pinks from the flowers and flamingos ...  

I was also fortunate enough to be able to make the wedding favours for the reception!  Stay tuned for the pictures!!

Inside the flap of the card is where I made a gift card holder for the money!

Inspired by Nature General Card for Any Occassion

Simple Elegant Any Occasion Card

This card was created in our Sunday Card Club and is simple in design yet so elegant and can be given for any occasion.

You start with a card base 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at @ 1/4 in Certainly Celery CS,  Whisper White CS      cut  4  x 5 1/4,  Ink the edges of the WW CS in Crumb cake, stamp the image of the tall grass from the Inspired by Nature Stamp set in Crumb cake for the back ground, Stamp the Flower image using the same stamp set with Versa Mark and add the Wild Wasabi embossing powder, set with heat gun.  Add a piece of Crumb Cake Seam binding ribbon and tie a simple knot at the bottom, with a scrap piece of Certainly Celery stamp the sentiment "live with Passion" from the same stamp set in Basic Black ink and punch out with the Large Oval punch, sponge around the sentiment in crumb cake and add to the card with dimensionals.

Sail Away Father's Day Card

Sail Away Father's Day Card

This card was created in the Thursday Night Monthly Club Class, with Father's Day being the theme.  We began with a card base in Bashful Blue 5 1/2 x 8 1/2" scored @ 4 1/4".  DSP cut @ 5 1/4 x 4" and Basic black CS cut @ 3 1/2 x 4 1/2 and 4 pieces of Whisper White CS cut @ 1 1/2  x 2 and a scrap of WW CS for the Sentiment Punched with the Word Window Punch, Basic Black CS for the Cat using the Blossom Petal Punch and Small Oval

Sponge the edges of WW CS with Crumb Cake and glue the pieces to the Basic Black CS leaving some space in between to resemble a window

Stamp the Sail boat image and add colour to your image using your blender pens or aqua brush to shade in the sail boat and add dimension to the sky and water

Stamp the sentiment on the scrap WW and punch out with the Word Window Punch

Punch out the cat with the Blossoms Petal Punch the only pieces you will need is the small fat petal for the body, 2 small leaves for the ears and 1 large leaf for the tail (repunched) for the tail and a 1 small oval for the head

1 piece of regular twine, make 3 knots  and attach 3 glue dots to the back of the knots and place at the bottom of the card

I have to admit I am addicted!!  Punch art has to be the most challenging and yet so much fun!  I am off work sick today so I thought that I would sit and tackle some punch art ... and this is what I ended up with ....

Side Step Birthday Card

This is a card I could not resist to make for my daughters "19th" Birthday.  She is my precious baby girl and just as sweet as the little girl on the card.  Inside the card I also created an envelope that will hold her birthday money and a personal note just for her!
